The Plains serves as America’s front porch to the Shenandoah Valley, vineyards, breweries, fine dining and fun.
About the Front Porch
Centered on Virginia Route 55 (John Marshall Highway) and Virginia Route 245 (Old Tavern Road), leaving the traffic of Interstate 66 behind, the Front Porch and the charming town of The Plains, Virginia offers visitors a quiet retreat, a fine meal and a thick dose of southern hospitality.
The historic railroad house underwent an extensive renovation in 2015 – and was transformed into a restaurant emphasizing an original southern-inspired menu and a lively bar filled with neighbors and friends.
